Istanbul Stock Exchange Becomes a Shareholder of the Baku Stock Exchange

As a new step within the framework of its efforts aimed at fostering the development of the Central Asian capital markets and stock exchanges, the Istanbul Stock Exchange participated in the capital of the Baku Stock Exchange by 5.26 percent. The decision was taken in the General Assembly meeting of the Baku Stock Exchange held in Baku on June 16, 2000. The Baku Stock Exchange was founded in 1998 as a joint stock company. Currently, it has nineteen shareholders, each with a stake of 5.26 percent.

In the General Assembly meeting, the new Charter of the Baku Stock Exchange as well as the amendments on the Trading, Listing, and Settlement and Custody regulations were approved.

The Istanbul Stock Exchange is also a shareholder of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.
